day 2

Program for today was initially touring round the school compound in the morning and lessons in the afternoon. Morning touring around the school was the most freezing experience. The chilling wind kept on blowing onto us as we walk and find out where our study block is. Our lessons will be conducted in classroom 606 and the best thing is that there is a heater and router in the classroom. After the briefing regarding class schedule and all, we proceed on to the staffroom to have a look. We were also introduced to two china teachers who will be teaching us our IS module.
It was close to lunch time and we headed for the school canteen. Before we reach the school canteen we saw the school hospital. It is pretty big and cool because you do not get to see a hospital in a school compound in Singapore.
As we entered the school canteen, the canteen seemed very smoky. The food there is really cheap for example one bowl of rice only cost 20 cents RMB and the dishes only cost RMB$5 each and the amount is really reasonable. In China, when come to fish, there are a lot of bones in them. From what I noticed, they have the patience to eat the fish slowly and carefully. In Singapore, the fish is either deboned or made into fillet for the customers.
After lunch, our China friends brought us to a shopping centre. The shopping trip was mainly to get our basic necessity and some winter wear. I am really thankful to have these China students around to guide us and help us in areas we need help in. They had really played a great role in this trip and I really appreciate them to be here. Although their names are difficult to remember, I must try to remember!
